Our first “hands-on” experience with fiber started with splicing and testing multimode fiber back in the late 80s for various Enterprise LAN, mining and military applications. Since then, we have witnessed the constant evolution of fiber types, applications and the technologies it supports. Today we are well versed in multimode and singlemode fiber topologies including the testing aspects of PON, CWDM, DWDM, and many other optical technologies.
Fiber Analysis and Test Reporting
This specialized task requires years of experience plus advanced skills to recognize and correctly identify problems. Entrusting us with your test result processing from the outset prevents redundant analysis stemming from inexperience - unfortunately, incorrect or improper analysis invariably leads to unnecessary retesting which is both time consuming and expensive for the installer and customer.
Before analyzing your test data, we also check that appropriate settings were applied during testing identifying any possible equipment misconfiguration which could contribute to invalid measurements.

Our Certified Fiber Characterization Engineer (CFCE) accreditation ensures your optical fiber network has been tested, analyzed, and characterized in a comprehensive and professional manner. We perform bi-directional insertion loss, ORL and OTDR tests, including Chromatic Dispersion (CD), Polarization Mode Dispersion (PMD) and spectral attenuation measurements. We characterize fiber networks for high speed data rates and extended wavelength operation - we also analyze fiber links using Raman amplifiers.
